...& I'm Married!!!

It's Official!!! James & I have tied the knot!!! And we are so very happy! :)

I realized I haven't posted anything in a while - UFE prep and wedding plans kinda took over my life the last little while, but I am now back again! I will have to update you all with some pictures of the last few months once I have some downtown (which should be sometime soon!).

For now, here is a picture of us on our beautiful wedding day.

Organizing Life

Well I guess it's time for me to get my life all organized before I start my finalist prep studying for the UFE this September. Today I've been cleaning up papers in one of the rooms I've been studying in for the last year or so... and trying to get rid of some stuff that I'll no longer use. Also, little details keep creeping up regarding the wedding, so trying to take care of those as well results in one busy day and a large "to-do" list! It's been quite a busy couple of weeks. James' family is in town and so we've been spending a lot of time with them, and Mom and I have been doing errands for a few days trying to get caught up on a few things. It's been a lot of fun and I think I almost forgot what it was like to have a life! LOL

I'm done work now for the summer, so I'll be studying for the summer every day, but taking all my evenings and weekends off, which I'm looking forward to the most. Finalist prep starts next Wednesday and will go until the following weekend. So from tomorrow until next Wednesday, I'll be doing some self studying and brushing up on my technical (for those that don't know what technical is, it's a whole bunch of accounting rules, etc.).

Anyway, I have to choose between posting pictures from the weekend with all the little kiddies, or reading a tax novel so that I don't fail the UFE because of a lack of knowledge in tax. Looks like I'll be reading for the afternoon. I'll post some pictures over the next couple of days.

Wedding Invitation

This is the final product of Heather's and Mom's long hours of work. And let's just say I am thrilled with the outcome of their work! Heather designed the invitation and Mom did the rest, including all the little sparkled detail and attaching the shiny purple cardstock to the white cardstock. Thanks to both of them for all the hard work they put into these original one-of-a-kind invitations!!! P.S. sorry for the glare - I couldn't seem to get a very good picture of this invitation...

1st BBQ @ Our Place

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! James and I laid out by the pool all day long and got some good ole sun. :) Nova Scotia has seriously been lacking in the sun department, so it was nice to have one long, hot, day for once. So we decided to head back to our new place to have a BBQ with my parents (Krista was working and missed out on James' super awesome BBQ skills). We had shishkabobs (I don't even know where to begin to spell this word) and corn on the cob, and potatoe salad. It was scrumptious! Anyway, here are some pics of our first official BBQ feast.

Pampered Chef* Family Bridal Shower

So I had my first Bridal shower a few weeks ago, and I finally have the pictures to post :) My Mom hosted a Pampered Chef Bridal Shower along with Amy (my future sister-in-law) for me as some of my relatives were in town. It was so nice to have my family there. Thanks for all the wonderful gifts!!! James & I very much appreciate them. :)

On Friday night, a few of us girlies got together and threw Coralee a bridal shower. Coralee is getting married on August 15th - only a month and a half to go! I must say, this was one of the most fun showers I have ever been to. :) Good job bridesmaids! The games were excellent and the decorations were beautiful! Here are some pictures of our evening filled of fun, gifts, food, and of course some great friendships!

Hot Tubbin' @ Stoneridge Fellowship

The 4 of us

Me & James
Yesterday, Stoneridge fellowship had an outdoor service at the new site, and rented a hot tub so that 18 people could be baptized! Wow, what a wonderful service! Some of the testimonies were so amazing to hear! However, I guess you could say that James, being the smart one, decided to take advantage of using the hot tub as the church had it rented until the next morning. So here we are, along with some of our new favourite friends Alanna and Luke, hot tubbin' it up for a couple of hours at the new church site with a beautiful sunset in the background. Quite a picture if I think so myself... LOL And to top it off, a random car drove right up to and stopped, probably thinking to himself, is that really what I see? We had a good laugh anyway. :)
